Fall is here! That time of year, which has its detractors, is ideal for our dogs. They no longer suffer from the heat, and we can enjoy more outdoor activities with them! Autumn is synonymous with brown colors, forests, fallen leaves, and mushrooms.
We suggest a dog-friendly, kid-friendly, or know-more-friendly activity :) in short, suitable for everyone. Bolets is the Catalan word for mushrooms, and we suggest you head out into the woods to find them!
- Don't pick mushrooms if you don't know them, just the fact of finding them and searching for which one is fun.
- If you do it you must be very sure of it.
- Do not pull them out of the ground, cut the stem with a knife leaving the root in place
- Use a wicker basket to transport it, let the spores fall and next year we'll continue finding more!
Excursions with your dog in Barcelona

Very close to Barcelona, we have four magnificent places to walk and enjoy nature. Collserola Mountains - Next to the city. You can find chanterelles, black trumpets (no, they're not poisonous!), chanterelles (or rovellons) in the pine forest, and fly agaric if you're very lucky—a Caesar's delicacy! Garraf Park is mostly young pine forest, so chanterelles (or rovellons) and llanegas (or llenegues) are abundant! A little further away are the Montseny and Montnegre Natural Parks, and El Corredor , which, being larger and varying in altitude, offer the possibility of finding all kinds of mushrooms. You should be careful if your dog is one of those who doesn't hesitate to put anything in its mouth; we tell you a little about it here . You can download an app like Setas Lite or Fungipedia to help you identify which mushroom you've found! Otherwise, here 's a more traditional link.
