DETOXIFICATION PROCESS
Unless your furry friend is a puppy you're weaning directly onto CRU or you've been preparing natural food at home, it's normal for their body to need to detoxify.
As you may already know, pet food is an ultra-processed food full of ingredients that are harmful to our furry friends. These additives and residues are stored throughout the digestive tract because the body cannot absorb them.
It is also very important that you recover all the bacterial flora in your stomach and intestinal tract.
To avoid panic, it's best to know the possible symptoms of this detox period. Don't get discouraged; they'll soon pass, and this is the best path you can take for your dog's well-being.
Some furry friends don't have any symptoms. For others, it lasts a week, and for more sensitive pets, it can last for some time, but you don't have to worry.
SYMPTOMS OF DETOX
The main…
Diarrhea, mucus-filled stools, constipation, and bad breath;
We can also observe changes in their hair such as dandruff, dry fur, itching sensation or allergy-like pimples;
Another important change you'll notice is that your dog suddenly drinks less water. Sometimes they barely touch it, because on a diet based on real food that maintains its natural moisture, they're absorbing water through their food.
Take it easy and patiently.
INFORMATION IS POWER
If you don't know this can happen, it's normal to get discouraged from time to time.
CONTACT OUR NUTRITIONIST if you have questions about the changes you're seeing.
In no time, you'll be seeing nothing but benefits and your dog enjoying an excellent quality of life!
